These almost constructivist photomontages show hands of all kinds of people using their smartphones. Their displays don’t show any apps – only more hands using smartphones. Each pair of hands plays both roles from Michelangelo’s ‘Creation of Adam’ at the Sistine Chapel: God and Adam, whose fingers touch each other. These devices are the new saints to which we cling, through which we keep contact, and who guide us on our ways – they are the amulets of our time.
