EU 2020 ?

2005Flash animation, digital video, 3:30, stereo

The flag of the European Union transforms itself into all the flags of its member countries, from west to east, and further more into the flags of future and possible members. While the EU expands eastwards, the wolves return to the west. But who knows what the EU will look like in the year 2020?
The sound consists of many tones from different computer programmes and the howling of wolves.

The animation was created in the context of the project FLAG METAMORPHOSES (2005-2014). EU 2020 ? was shown both with Flag Metamorphoses and on its own.
