This series of flags shows female figures and vulva symbols from different times, countries and cultures. Partially little known or forgotten figures are visually updated and return „usable“ for us today. Flags and coats of arms usually show national, regional or family emblems signifying their respective identities. These icons visualise ideas or prescind real objects. They are highly symbolic. The banners GLOBAL VULVA give symbols of femaleness the status of „official“ emblems.
